We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the high standard and location of the accommodation.  The weather was fantastic and. having taken our own bikes, we cycled 8 out of 9 days of our stay.  We clocked up 390 miles and visits included Amboise, Blois, Tours, Chambord, Blere, St Aignan, the Sologne area and numerous other small towns and villages, all by bike.  We only resorted to the car on one day to visit Chinon.  The area is so cycle friendly - flat quiet roads and numerous other cycle tracks plus the respect that French dirvers show to cyclists in general - that is by far the best way to see and get close to the surrounding countryside, towns and villages.  Plus it gives you a healthy appetite for the local food and drink.  Thanks again for giving us a wonderful base for a great holiday.  Best regards.  Bob 15.9.10
